Every year, I ask our teachers to sign a copy of ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go’ for each boy. And then I pick the books up, sit in my car, and bawl while I re-read each entry from preschool on.
We have been lucky to have some of the best teachers each year. Our children have learned and grown and thrived in an environment where they feel loved and supported. We care far less about grades than we do about how our children feel while at school. Teachers are the difference between a successful school experience, and a poor one.
When we gift them these books at high school graduation, I hope the words from their teachers inspire them and remind them how many people have helped them along the way. So Thank You, educators, for ALL YOU DO! You are the reason our children will go places!
Happy Summer
